On 8th April, Bharathi Vidyalaya celebrated the Prize Distribution Ceremony for Merit Card Holders, Subject Toppers and Winners of Endowment Prizes of Classes I to XII for the year 2024-25. Mr. Arun Bharathi, Software Quality Engineer, Lead at Glide well and also a Parent representative member in our School Managing Committee, was the Chief Guest of the function. Principal Mrs. K Lakshmi welcomed the gathering and introduced the Chief Guest.

Emphasizing the importance of respecting the Guru, Mr. Arun Bharathi, in his address said that it is the most important value a student should learn. He congratulated all the prize winners and distributed the certificates to the toppers. He then released the School Magazine and Souvenir for the year 2024-25. Our Director and Correspondent Mrs. Alamelu received the first copy of the Magazine. Addressing the students, she said that the academic achievement of the prize winners show their perseverance, dedication and hard work. She said that getting a Merit card is within the reach of every student and many more students should try to get it in the new academic year.

Inauguration of Bharathi Vidyalaya Sr. Sec. School, Anti-Drug Club

We are proud to announce the inauguration of the Bharathi Vidyalaya Sr. Sec. School, Anti – Drug Club, a student-led initiative, aimed at promoting awareness and prevention of drug abuse in the society.

Mission statement.
Our mission is to create a safe and healthy environment for the society, free from the influence of drugs. We aim to achieve this through education, awareness and support, empowering people to make informed choices and live a drug free life.
Mrs. Ramya Maheswary has given a speech on Anti –Drug Awareness and Varshini of Class XI took an oath on Anti-Drug Awareness. Students made posters related to Anti-Drug Awareness.
We are excited to launch this important initiative and look forward to create a safer, healthier and supportive environment in the society.

AI & Robotics

Inspired by the success of IIE and STEM Education classes among the students and parents of Bharathi Vidyalaya, this year, "AI and Robotics"  has been introduced to the classes I to IX. Bharathi EXPO 2025 showcased projects related to AI. Students showed a lot of interest in learning the machine language and making models using the same. No wonder this kind of learning is going to bring a revolution in their life. Our school has already initiated it.

STEM Education

The New Educational Policy seeks to encourage experiential learning and hands on learning through STEM Education. Our school has introduced this interdisciplinary program to the students of classes VI to IX. STEM Education prepares the students for future challenges where Logical Reasoning, Critical thinking, Creativity and team work skills are paramount.

Helmet Awareness

On 1st October 2024, Apollo Shine and TVS organized “The Helmet Hero” event in our school. It was a great success.  200 students from classes III, IV and V participated in the event.                      

Dr. Ashraf started the program by giving awareness about the importance of wearing helmets, emphasizing safety while riding. Following the awareness session, a game titled 'My Pillar' was conducted. Students were divided into three groups based on their classes. The game was led by the Apollo team, which included Dr. Shalini, Dr. Tina, Dr. Priya, and Mr. Gideon. 20 students emerged as winners. Each student received a helmet and a certificate. All participants were given badges and vouchers. The event was both informative and enjoyable to the students.

Sri Adi Sankara Day Celebration

Our School celebrated “Shri Adi Shankara Day” on 1st Octcber 2024. Students of classes VIII, IX, XI and XII took part in the celebration. A Seminar on the topic “Self- Development” was conducted to the students of classes XI and XII by “Vidya Theertha Foundation”. The Programme started with the chanting of “Ganesha Pancharathnam” by our senior students. It was followed by Welcome Address. Spandana Singh of class XI Science introduced the chief Guest Sri Krishnana to the students. Keerthi Neha of class XI Science introduced Smt. Usha Krishnan and Sajna of Class XI Commerce introduced Dr. Suganthi. The Students then performed a skit on “Sri Adi Shankaracharya”!
Smt. Usha Krishnan started the seminar by introducing Sri Adi Shankara’s birth and parentage. Sri Krishna while addressing the students spoke about the objective of the seminar. He told about Sri Shankara’s Goal settings and planning and the importance of Guru’s guidance in everyone’s life. He informed the students about the four mutts of Sri Adi Shankara and his four main disciples. A Quiz was conducted at the end of the seminar.
Through the seminar, the students gained knowledge on Effective Communication, Mental and Physical fitness, Leadership Qualities, Contribution to the Nation and National Integration. They understood the values of “Indian Culture” and “Sanadhana Dharma”. They learnt the concept “Vasudeva Kudumbagam”. Nishanth Kumar of class XI proposed the “Vote of Thanks”. The Programme ended with National Anthem.

Management Course

The school offers Business and Management course for the students of XI and XII along with academics. This program is conducted by Mr.Arjun Shankar, former Executive Vice President of NIIT group. He has over 30 years of industrial experience. The management course includes Role plays, Group discussions, Paper presentations, Assignments and Mock Interviews which involve Critical thinking,  Problem solving, Decision making, Emotional intelligence. It also develops the skills like Persistence, Resilience, Lifelong Learning and Creative Thinking in students. There will be also a  session with the reputed contemporary Entrepreneurs. The course also helps them develop their confidence, stand out in a competitive job market and build their reputation as a managerial personnel.

Wall Magazine Inauguration

On 18th November, 2022, our school Wall Magazine was inaugurated with great zeal.  Students of Class IX along with  their class teachers took part in the preparation of the wall magazine. At 11.00 am students of classes IX to XII were assembled on the ground for the inaugural function.  Our chairman Sri S. Mahalingam, former CFO and Executive Director, TCS, Connected with the meeting on Zoom. Starting with prayer, the concept of wall magazine and the benefits thereof were introduced to the students. The names of the Editorial Board was shared. Mrs. Alamelu Madam inaugurated the wall magazine and congratulated the students and teachers for their efforts to bring up the magazine. She motivated the students to have the same  spirit in the forthcoming weeks. She also explained the various items displayed on the board. Rashtrya Ekta Diwas

To Commemorate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s Birth Anniversary, our School observed, ”Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” on 31st October 2022. During the morning assembly, students of Classes X to XII were gathered to celebrate the day. The programme started with school prayer. M. Lakshanya Sri of class X gave an inspiring speech on Sardar Patel. She spoke about his role in freedom fight, at the time of Independence and his contribution in uniting India as “Hindustan“, after Independence. The speech was followed by “The Unity Pledge”. All the students and teachers took the pledge. They solemnly resolved to make their contribution for the internal security of the country. Observation of the “National Unity Day” gave an opportunity to the students to re-affirm the inherent strength and resilience of our nation, to withstand threads to the security, Unity and Integrity of the Country.

Vigilance Awareness

To increase the public awareness about the perils of corruption, Vigilance Awareness Week is observed every year on the last week of October. Our school observed this day on 29th October, 2022, with the theme of “Corruption Free India for a Developed Nation“. Class XII students organized a small programme for the students of classes IX to XI to bring awareness in them and to teach them how to be vigilant. They gathered the students in Ganapathy Hall and started the programme with invocation to Lord Almighty. Then they gave a brief introduction to “Vigilance Awareness Week” and started the cultural events. They divided themselves into different groups and performed Skits, Group discussions, Role – plays, sang songs and gave speeches on the topics ‘Vigilance in travelling’, ‘Consumer awareness while purchasing and using’, Minimizing Corruption through Right to Information Act’, Role of Vigilance in railways’, ’ Don’t fall prey to advertisements’, ‘Practising Preventive Vigilance in Life’ and ‘ Vigilance for Health’. The programme ended with National Anthem.
Observing Vigilance Awareness Week helps the students to learn about the ill effects of corruption and the ways to eradicate it.

Vijayadasami Celebration 2022

Vijayadasami is a major Indian festival celebrated on the tenth day after Sharasha Navaratri. It is celebrated for the victory of good over evil. Celebrating this day brings success and victory to our life. On this auspicious day, our school arranged for a music concert. Three budding artists, Madhuvanthi Vijayaganesh, Sumedha Vijayaganesh and Akhil Krishnan took part in the concert. Madhuvanthi sang the songs,

The melodious voice of Madhuvanthi was accompanied by Sumedha’s violin and Akhil Krishnan’s mridangam. The young artists performed with confidence and their performance was vibrant as well as warm and soothing. The concert was a grand feast to the audience.

Spectra 2022

Every year in the month of October our school conducts Inter - house competitions. This year also Spectra 2022 was conducted in the last week of October. Students of classes XI and XII organised the programme for the students of classes VI to X. The events conducted were Shipwreck, Dumb charades, Block and Tackle, Adzap, Splashes, Mathathon, Young Advocates, Quiz, Mudra and Sapthaswara. These events gave the students an opportunity to exhibit their talents. They proved themselves as good speakers, judges, debaters, advertisers, artists, organizers, dancers and singers.

The Valedictory function was held on 4th October,2022. Mrs.Gita Srinivasan, Senior Business Consultant,TCS was the Chief Guest. The programme started with School Prayer. M.Dharshini of class XII welcomed the Chief Guest and the gathering. It was followed by a concert. Then the Chief Guest Mrs. Gita Srinivasan, addressed the gathering. She appreciated the school for imparting high quality education, values and skills to the students. The Director Mrs.K.Alamelu praised the students for their enthusiastic participation in conducting the programme. She thanked them for making the day a grand success. Then there was the prize distribution. V.B.Yazhini of class XIl proposed the Vote of Thanks. The program ended with National Anthem.
